The United States of America to the sheriff of the County Circuit aforesaid.

Greetings.
Whereas Sebastian Butcher lately at our court of common pleas before the judge thereof _________ Henry Peterson the sum of twenty eight dollars for debt and interest and also the sum of sixteen dollars and ninety three cents which to the said Sebastian were ?assuaged? for his damages as well as by ________of detaining the said debt as for his costs that suite expended as appears to ___________and it is further adjudged by the said court that the permised mortgaged for the payment of the said debt and costs be sold for that purpose. These are therefore to command you that on the second day of the term of our next (?noted?) Circuit Court at a Circuit court to be holden at the Town of Ste Genevive on and for the county afore said on the second Monday in May next. You advertise and sell at public vendue according to law a lot of ground containing one arpent on which there is a small house situate in the Town of Ste Genevive between the Public Burying ground and the lot occupied by Francois Lefluer the property of said Henry Peterson so that the said Sebastian Butcher may be satisfied for his debt and costs aforesaid. And that you certify to our said Court how you have executed this order of sale. And then and there return the same.
